CDDP Entry site
The CDDP's mission is to foster awareness and increase directing opportunities for women and other historically underrepresented groups of people through a targeted program of outreach, mentorship and exposure.
For the 2025 CDDP Program: We will select 5 Fellows for the program who will each be paired with individual production companies who will mentor them throughout the program with shadowing, networking and one-on-one career advice. They will also be invited to attend our robust workshops at SMUGGLER. In addition- 10-15 Finalists will be given the opportunity to attend the workshops in-person as well; and Semi-Finalists will participate in workshops via Zoom from July - August, 2025. We will share the work of the 5 Fellows to a select group of industry at the end of the 2025 Program Cycle.
Created during contract talks between the AICP (Association of Independent Commercial Producers) and the Directors Guild of America (DGA), the Commercial Directors Diversity Program (CDDP) reflects the commitment of both organizations to effect change and increase the representation of women directors and other historically under-represented groups specializing in commercials and marketing communications. The CDDP works to pair unsigned women directors and other historically under-represented groups with production companies, and to increase the number of these directors within the ranks of the DGA membership as well as increase the number of these groups signed to and working through commercial production companies.
The deadline to enter work to be considered for The Commercial Directors Diversity Program is:
11:59PM PST, February 21st, 2025.
